GSS: Grenville Secondary School
Grenville Secondary School
was established on September 09, 1983 in the same building which housed the now
defunct Grenville Junior Secondary School. At present our clientele is drawn from a wide
cross-section of St. Andrew with a few from lower St. Patrick and upper St.
Andrew.
At
GSS we present a wide range of academic and technical subjects with the aim of
ensuring that all who pass through this institution will find their place in
the world of work. Though most of our
students are drawn from areas of low socio-economic background, at GSS we
endeavour to instill in them the fact that they can rise above their present
situation and be valuable assets to society.
First
of all, we try as much as possible to help them realize that they are spiritual
beings and need to develop a fear of God in their daily lives. We also seek to harness their talents in the
areas of sports, culture and whatever other God-given skills they may
possess. Finally we seek to inculcate in
them the need to exercise their patriotism to their school and by extension
their country.
Mission Statement:
Grenville Secondary School is committed to promoting positive spiritual,
