1.     Theater Arts requires you to work with other practitioners regularly

a.      Name ONE theater arts practitioner with whom you would like to work with.

b.     Identify ONE contribution of this person to theater in Grenada country.

c.      State FOUR ways in which the person identified in (a) has influenced your appreciation of Theater Arts. Use examples to support your answer.

2.     You are a member of the planning committee for a theater arts festival to be held in Grenada

a.      Explain how you will direct an improvisation piece for a performance

b.     Explain the character relationships that you will use to stimulate the drama

c.   Explain the conflict and the solution

SECTION A

1.     Define THREE of the following terms associated with the theater:

2.     For TWO of the terms selected in (a) above, give TWO ways in which EACH can be used in a theater production.

3.     With specific reference to ONE Caribbean cultural form you have studied, answer the following:

a.      Name the cultural form and the country in which it is MOST practiced.

b.     State TWO ways in which the cultural form named in (a) above can be used in either a drama or dance production.

c.      Explain TWO ways that the cultural form named in (a) can contribute to any ONE of the following:

                                               i.          Entertainment

                                             ii.          Education

                                           iii.          Community development

4.     Study carefully the illustration below then answer questions (a), (b) and (c) that follow.

2.     A theater is being built in your country.

a.      Identify FOUR jobs related to the managing of the theater which should be advertised.

b.     Choose TWO of the jobs identified in (a) above and give a brief description of what these jobs would involve.

c.      You have been asked to name the theater.

3.     You are asked to create your school’s drama production on the theme of HIV/AIDS awareness.

a.      Select a cultural form to convey your message and give ONE reason for the choice.

b.     Describe briefly the story-line for your production.

c.      Suggest how THREE elements of the cultural form may be used to convey your message.
