Topic: Conflict Resolution

In every environment that we are a part of we can find conflict. We find conflict at home, school and in our neighborhood.

1)    Different families deal with conflict using different strategies.

State TWO healthy strategies that can be used at home to solve conflict.

2)    Identify TWO healthy ways of dealing with conflict at school.

3)    Discuss ONE healthy way of resolving conflict in your neighborhood.

Activity:

Create a poster entitled: Guidelines for resolving conflicts. The poster can either be on general guidelines for resolving conflict or it can show guidelines for handling conflict at home, school or in your neighborhood. Remember to show the steps in conflict resolution (see page 26 in your text).

·       This week you are required to start a scrapbook. You can use an exercise book, notebook or drawing book for this project.

·       Every week you will look at a video sent by your teacher and create a sample that you will label and mount in your scrapbook and send a picture of your work to your teacher.

·       When school reopens physically, you are required to hand in your scrapbook.

1.    Understanding the parts of a piece of woven fabric is important for correct placement when cutting the fabric. Please draw and label the parts of a woven fabric.

2.    Basket weave is a variation of the plain weave. Using the YouTube video linked below create your own basket weave using paper.

3.    Describe the basket weaving process in your own words and identify one article that can be made from fabric woven by this method.

NB this assignment will be added to your portfolio. Keep it safe until school reopens physically.
