SECTION A

1.     Define THREE of the following terms associated with the theater:

                           i.          Director

                         ii.          Actor

                       iii.          Masking

                       iv.          Box office

                         v.          Proscenium

                       vi.          Fourth wall

                     vii.          Downstage

                   viii.          Props

2.     For TWO of the terms selected in (a) above, give TWO ways in which EACH can be used in a theater production.

3.     With specific reference to ONE Caribbean cultural form you have studied, answer the following:

a.      Name the cultural form and the country in which it is MOST practiced.

b.     State TWO ways in which the cultural form named in (a) above can be used in either a drama or dance production.

c.      Explain TWO ways that the cultural form named in (a) can contribute to any ONE of the following:

                                               i.          Entertainment

                                             ii.          Education

                                           iii.          Community development
