Satin weave- is a type of weave in which yarns float or pass over several other yarns. The exposed yarns on the surface of the fabric cause the fabric to have a shiny appearance.

·       Examples of fabric made from satin weave are crepe back satin and bridal satin.

Pile weave- consist of extra set of yarns interlaced in such a manner to produce loops on the surface of the fabric. The loops may be cut or left uncut.
